Out of 15+ charters, this one takes the top spot for me. We had five first-time walleye trollers on board, and instead of the usual “hands off” style trips I’d experienced before, the captain coached us through it like we were on the team. He covered the basics of trolling, talked us through what to watch for, and then did the most important thing: he put us on fish and let us do the rest. We pushed off at 7 a.m. and hit our Lake Ontario walleye limit by noon. The hands-on teaching mattered as much as the full net. If you want someone who knows the lake and can actually teach you how to fish it, this crew runs both sides of that coin really well. I’ll be recommending Fishhound to everyone I know.

First trip on Lake Erie and Steve delivered. We boxed 23 nice walleye, picked up a couple perch, and added one big blue cat and a solid channel cat. Great captain. We’ll book again.

Storms pushed the walleye off their usual spots, but Captain Steve stuck with it, found the feed, and the bite went off. We landed a ton.

This is my third trip with Fishhound and Captain Steve, and it was a great morning again. My wife and I booked a 4-hour Lake Ontario charter and hit our walleye limit in about 2.5 hours. We wrapped up with catch and release and a few big blue catfish to the net. Consistent, fun, and on-point as always.

Book with Captain Steve if you want to learn how to fish, not just reel. He walked us through the sonar, trolling, and the “why” behind it. Just me and my son, limit before noon. Great captain, great teacher. Highly recommend.

Just finished an amazing charter with Captain Steve and our family (2 boys - 6 and 9 years old)...Steve and his furry First Mate, Sugar, are AMAZING! We were catching Walleye when other Captains were on the radio asking where the fish were.... Steve took great care of us, clean and showed us how to filet, and packed up the fish to send us on our way! We will be back!! Boys are “hooked”!!
